How to Make Custom Emoji for Discord on Android

This eMinds CA teaches you how to upload an image file from your Android, and use it as an emoji in your chat.

Open your Android’s mobile internet browser. The Discord app does not allow you to change your server settings or upload emoji. You have to sign in to the internet browser to do this.

Visit Discord’s website. Type discordapp.com in your browser address bar, and enter  or return to your keyboard.

Alternatively, you can go to discord.gg. This address redirects to the same website.

Tap on the icon. This button is in the upper-right corner of your Internet browser. This will open your browser options on the drop-down menu.

Tap the Request desktop site on the menu. This will reload the page, and the discord will open the desktop version of the website.

Depending on your browser, this option can only be given the name of the desktop site.

If you skip this step and continue to the mobile website, you will not be able to customize your server settings and add a custom emoji.

Tap on login button. This discard is in the upper-right corner of the home page.

Sign in to your discord account. Enter your email and password, and tap Login.

Select a server on the left sidebar. Your chat servers are listed on the left side of your screen. Find and tap the server that you want to edit here.

Tap the icon next to the server name. Your server name is listed in the upper-left corner of the page. This button will open a drop-down menu.

Tap Server Settings on the drop-down menu. This will open the SERVER OVERVIEW menu on a new page.

Tap the Emoji tab on the left menu. Find the Settings menu on the left side of the page, and tap this option to open the SERVER EMOJI page.

Tap on the Upload Emoji button. This server has a blue button on the right side of the EMOJI page. It will open a list of available upload methods on a pop-up menu.

Tap the document or gallery. This option will allow you to select and upload an image file from your Android, and will use it as an emoji in chat.

Alternatively, you can select the camera here, and take a new picture with your camera.

Upload the image file you want to use. Browse your files, and tap on the image file to be used as emoji. This will upload the selected file.

Once the image file is uploaded, it will appear on the server EMOJI page on the emoji list.

Edit Emoji aka. Tap the ALIAS field next to your uploaded image on the server EMOJI page, and enter a short surname to use emoji in your chat.

For example, if you set the alias: Example:, Typing: Example: In the conversation, send your emoji to the conversation.
Test your new emoji in a chat. Open any chat conversation on this server, type your emoji’s nickname, and send it as a message. You should see your new emoji in chat
